Our Roots
Born to the Mountains
Our guides are Garhwali and Kumaoni natives, their families having traversed these passes for centuries. This deep-seated connection to the land translates into unparalleled trail wisdom and an innate understanding of Himalayan weather patterns.
They navigate by instinct, ensuring your journey is not just a path walked, but a story understood. Every step is guided by knowledge passed down through generations.

Rahul Negi : Founder/guide

For as long as I can remember, the mountains have been my true home. Growing up with my uncle and aunt away from my family's village, I always found peace and a deep sense of purpose looking up at the towering Himalayan peaks.
Though I followed the conventional path—completing my 12th-grade education in the Math and Science stream in 2017—societal pressure temporarily convinced me that standard professions were the only way to build a life. But you cannot stay away from your true calling for long. The urge to explore pristine trails never faded, leading me to break away from expectations and align my life with my deepest passion.
Today, I bring that lifetime of resilience, raw respect for nature, and local knowledge into Valley Trekkers. We don't just guide you along a trail; we invite you to experience the Himalayas through the eyes of someone who fought to be here.

My journey into the mountains began long before I became a professional mountain guide.Growing up around animals, forests, and the mountains, I developed a deep curiosity and love for adventure.
After completing my 12th in 2018, I wanted to pursue my passion for sports, mountains, and outdoor activities. However, I did not have the financial means to immediately enter the field of mountaineering. So, I started working as a chef with mountain guiding teams. What began as a job soon became an opportunity to learn.
While travelling with experienced guides, I began to understand the mountains from a completely different perspective—how to move safely in challenging terrain, and, most importantly, how to guide and take responsibility for others.
2022, I continued developing my skills through specialised training, including high-altitude techniques, mountain safety, and medical training. Every experience added another piece to the knowledge I needed to become a professional mountain guide.
In 2023, I took the biggest step of my journey—I started my own company with the vision of creating meaningful and safe mountain experiences for people who want to explore the outdoors.
The journey is still evolving. What started with a simple love for the mountains has now become my full-time passion and purpose.
